Shreveport Downtown Airport - About Us
Today, the Downtown Airport offers two runways, with the primary runway, Runway 14/32, measuring 5,017 feet long by 150 feet wide. The Runway is asphalt and was resurfaced in December 2000. Runway 5/23 measures 3,200 feet long by 75 feet wide. The Airport is considered a general aviation/reliever airport. Numerous owners of small private planes house their aircrafts at the Downtown Airport. Southern University operates an Airframe and Power plant (A&P) School which provides certification for aircraft mechanics. The Fixed Base Operators at Downtown Airport is Royal Air, Inc. at (318) 227-0091. A self serve pump - 100LL is available at the Downtown Airport. This service is provided by Fuel N Fly. The Downtown Airport now has a cafe' that serves a traditional breakfast and lunch, as well as steak and seafood with American fare.
