January 13, 2010 - Shreveport Fire Chief officially promotes Assistant Chief and two Battalion Chiefs in Operations Division

Promotions to take place during Swearing In Ceremony

Shreveport- TODAY at 4 p.m., Fire Chief Brian A. Crawford will officially promote three Shreveport Fire Department Operations Division employees during a “Swearing In” Ceremony, which will be held at the Fire Administration Office, 236 North Common Street.

• Randall Beason will be promoted to Assistant Chief of Operations from Battalion Chief.
• Rex Shamburger will be promoted to Battalion Chief from Captain-EMS Supervisor.
• David Wheat will be promoted to Battalion Chief from Captain-Battalion Safety Officer.

“All of these individuals have worked very hard to reach the next level in their careers and our department is fortunate enough to have their knowledge and experience, and I look forward to working with them. Together, they are an invaluable asset to our department,” according to Crawford.

All promotions are effective immediately.
