Shreveport Police to close Emergency Operations Command

Shreveport Police are standing down their Emergency Operations Command at the Caddo Parish 911 center. Officers will still be on the streets proactively checking bridges and overpasses throughout the evening and into the morning hours for any kind of hazardous conditions. As the cold weather continues to grip Shreveport, Police Chief Henry Whitehorn can reactivate the Emergency Operations Command at his discretion if prevailing conditions dictate a need.
