Missing Shreveport man found deceased

Bossier Parish authorities discovered the body of a Shreveport man missing since Thursday night.

Ted Lowrie had been missing since January 7, 2010 at approximately 8:30 a.m. when he left his home in the 5500 block of Interstate Dr. in his 2004 Chevrolet four door pick-up truck. On January 10, 2010, deputies with the Bossier Parish Sheriff’s Office notified Shreveport Police detectives that they had located Mr. Lowrie’s body in north Bossier Parish suffering from what appeared to be a self-inflicted gunshot wound. At this point in the investigation, foul play is not suspected in Lowrie’s death.
