Detectives investigate overnight shooting

Shreveport Police detectives are working an overnight shooting that sent two local men to the hospital.

At approximately 8:15 p.m. on January 12, 2010, Shreveport Police patrol officers responded to a report of shots fired shots fired in the 7700 block of Linwood Ave. Upon arrival, officers could not locate any crime scene, but moments later were made aware of a shooting in the 400 block of Browning St. Once on scene there, officers discovered 26 year old Tramel Johnson suffering from a gunshot wound to the right arm and 28 year old Christopher Chatman suffering from a gunshot wound to the right leg. Both men were transported to LSUHSC by the Shreveport Fire Department with what have been described as non-life-threatening injuries.

The victims advised detectives they were driving in the 7700 block of Linwood Ave. when an unknown suspect began shooting at them. They then drove to Browning and called authorities. Neither victim was able to provide investigators with any kind of suspect description.
