Shreveport police search for suspect in beating Shreveport Police detectives are looking for a local man accused of severely beating another man during a fight.
At approximately 9:15 p.m. on January 13, 2010, Shreveport Police patrol officers responded to an EMS call in the 6200 block of Greenwood Rd. Upon arrival, officers found 22 year old Renard Hill suffering from serious injuries to his head. Hill was transported to LSUHSC by the Shreveport Fire Department with what were described as life threatening injuries. He was later reported to be in stable condition.
Officers learned that Hill and a male suspect, identified as 28 year old Stafford King, were involved in a fight during which King apparently beat Hill severely and then fled the scene, leaving Hill unconscious. Investigators have now obtained a warrant for the arrest of Stafford King, of the 400 block of E. 72nd St. in Shreveport, charging him with one count of attempted second degree murder. The bond is $100,000.
Anyone with any information regarding Stafford King or his whereabouts is urged to call Shreveport Police detectives at 318-673-6955 or Shreveport-Caddo Parish Crime Stoppers at 318-673-7373.
