Detectives arrest man accused of molesting juvenile

Shreveport Police detectives have arrested a local man who they believe molested an eight year old little girl.

Back in early January, Shreveport Police patrol officers were dispatched to Willis Knighton Pierremont relative to a sexual assault. Upon arrival, officers contacted the mother of the victim who advised that her daughter reported to her that a family friend had sexually molested her. Patrol officers began the investigation and notified detectives.

Detectives were assigned to investigate and subsequently interviewed the victim and her mother and learned that a family friend identified as 52 year old Jerry Wallace had sexually assaulted the little girl at a home in the 6200 block of Greenwood Rd. Investigators interviewed Wallace and based on these interviews and other evidence, charged Wallace with one count of molestation of a juvenile. Detectives booked Wallace, of the 6200 block of Greenwood Rd. in Shreveport, into the Shreveport City Jail.
