FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Police searching for man accused of indecent behavior with juveniles

Shreveport Police detectives are looking for a local man in connection with an incident that occurred earlier this week.

At approximately 7:50 a.m. on February 3, 2010, a 16 year old female was waiting for a bus in the 1600 block of Audrey Ln. in Shreveport’s Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. neighborhood when she was approached by a man who told her that he had been watching her and that he wanted her. The suspect asked the juvenile if she wanted to have sex and then exposed himself to her. The suspect subsequently fled the scene of the crime on foot. The victim was not injured.

Detectives were immediately notified and began an in-depth investigation. Based on interviews conducted with the victim and witnesses, investigators were able to develop a suspect and late last night obtained an arrest warrant for him. Police are now looking for 42 year old Jonathan Davis of the 3400 block of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Dr. in Shreveport for one count of indecent behavior with juveniles. The warrant has no bond.

Detectives are still working to determine if Davis was responsible for a similar incident that occurred less than an hour after he allegedly approached the victim on Audrey Ln. At 8:28 a.m. on February 3, 2010, police responded to E. Kings Hwy. near Preston Ave. where a 17 year old female reported to officers that a male suspect driving a red, older model 4 door sedan with paint peeling off of a rear quarter panel of the vehicle approached her as she was walking and asked her where she was going. The suspect then offered her a ride and told her she could help him. The victim fled the scene and called police. The victim was not injured.

Anyone with any information regarding these cases or the whereabouts of Jonathan Davis is urged to call Shreveport Police detectives at 318-673-6955 or Shreveport-Caddo Parish Crime Stoppers at 318-673-7373.
