
Anyone with information
about someone illegal carrying a weapon can earn up to $500

* Illegal carrying of a
firearm at a parade with any firearm used in the commission
of a crime of violence

Shreveport Police Investigators and Crime Stoppers are looking for a
suspect wanted for Simple Burglary of a Vehicle.
On 7-30-2009, police were notified of a vehicle break in the 1400 block
of Bert Kouns where a suspect broke into a 2007 Toyota 4 Runner by
breaking out the passenger window. Once inside the vehicle the suspect
stole the victim's purse including checkbook, credit cards and personal
ID. Investigators were able to determine the suspect attempted to
access the checking account of the victim via cell phone. The suspect
also used the victim's credit cards at a major department store charging
more than $1,000 worth of items to the victim's card.
Investigators were able to determine that Tyrone Elliot, alias "Tauheed
Mateen", b/m, DOB 6/6/63, 5'10", 210 lbs, was responsible for the theft
and credit card charges.
Crime Stopper is offering a $500.00 reward for any information leading to the arrest of Elliot.

The Shreveport Police need the public's help in identifying a suspect who is wanted for Attempted Aggravated Rape of a 15 year old.
Yesterday morning a black male wearing a black pull-over hoodie and black dickie pants pulled a 15 year black female behind a vacant house in the 1900 block of Linear and began trying to tear her clothes off.
Despite the fact the black male was armed with black Semi-Automatic Handgun the 15 year old fought off her attacker and was aided by a passerby who saw the struggle.
When the good Samaritan stopped to help the girl her attacker fled north on Linear toward Martin Luther King Dr.
The suspect is described as a black male 35 to 45 years of age, with a slender built between 120 and 150 pounds. He is tall and has brown eyes.
Anyone who can identify the suspect or may know who can is asked to call the detectives office at 673-6955 or Crime Stoppers at 673-7373.

Shreveport Police are looking for a man who robbed a mid-city bank this afternoon.
At approximately 2:48 p.m., patrol officers were dispatched out to the Capitol One Bank in the 800 block of Jordan St.
relative to a robbery. Upon arrival, officers learned that a male suspect entered the bank and gave a note to one of the
tellers demanding money. The suspect was given an undisclosed amount of money and subsequently fled the scene. No one was
injured during this robbery.
Police detectives are now asking for your help in locating this bank bandit. He is described as a black male wearing
a gray colored shirt, blue jeans, white shoes and a black baseball cap with the letter "G " on the front.

Shreveport Police Investigators need assistance in identifying a suspect who, in the early morning
hours on 6/11/09 broke into Dollar General Store on Line avenue to commit a burglary. This and possible
other suspects attempted to defeat the alarm system before gaining entry but were unsuccessful and were
captured on closed circuit television.
Anyone having any knowledge of the identity of the suspect featured in the video are encouraged to
