All commercial and private haulers, and governmental vehicles must obtain a Solid Waste Permit from the City of Shreveport before they are permitted to dump solid waste at the City landfill. Permit applications may be obtained by one of the following methods: a) click the filename at the bottom of this page to download and print the application in a .pdf format; b) contact the Solid Waste Division at 318-673-6300. All commercial haulers only must obtain a transporter number. Transporter numbers may be obtained from the Louisiana Department of Environmental Quality (LDEQ). the Woolworth Road Landfill at 318-925-3500 For all commercial haulers the Solid Waste Permit cost is $15.00 for the permit sticker and $100.00 annual fee. Mail with payment or deliver the application in person to: City of Shreveport Waste delivered to the landfill must be accompanied by a trip ticket which indicates the: a) type of waste hauled; b) waste ID number; c) generator/hauler ID number. All incoming waste will be weighed at the scale house, and the type and quantity of waste is recorded. The records are maintained at the facility and correlate to the disposal cell location.
