Get Ready For The 2011 MLK Tournament - February 18 - 20, 2011. Registration Deadline February 11th

Shreveport
Public Assembly and Recreation (SPAR), and Caddo Parish Parks &
Recreation have hosted the Annual Martin Luther King, Jr. Basketball
Tournament for over 2 decades. This athletic event honors the legacy
of Dr. King and is held in conjunction with African American History
Month celebrations all over the City of Shreveport.
The MLK Jr. Basketball Tournament is designed to unite men, women and youth of all ethnic backgrounds for three days of fun, fitness and community unity. Over $3,000 of cash prizes and awards will be given to championship teams. Over 100 teams (Pro Am to Youth) from 5 southern states will be participating, featuring some of the toughest roundballers in the south. In 2009, the MLK Tournament added a Men's Pro-Am and a Wheelchair Division. This year a Jobs Corp Division has been added, highlighting some of the top Job Corps basketball teams in the region.
The 2010 MLK Jr. Basketball Tournament will be
held February 19-21.We are inviting all
regional and local teams (youth and adult) to participate in this
